install problem

     When intsalling Debian Linux I've run into the following error:

kernel panic: ex2-fs panic (device 03:42): ext2_read_inode:group >=
groups count

     Is this a corrupted disk error or is it something else? I've
reinstalled Linux a number of times and it's the same every time.
