unable to boot off floppy

-- [ From: Louis H. Iselin * EMC.Ver #2.5.02 ] --

I purchased the LSL Debian 1.3.1 CD-ROM and would like to install Debian.

I have a Supermicro P5MMA motherboard with an AMD K6-166 and 64MB DRAM. All
of my storage devices are SCSI connected to a Diamond FirePort 40.

I downloaded the rescue and driver disk images (10-23-97) from ftp.debian.
org

When I boot my computer with the rescue disk, the computer reboots at the
loading Linux message and starts over again. The 2nd time, the computer
loads Linux and runs through its messages, never finding the FirePort40.

I real problem is that the keyboard works to look at all of the function key
helps, but times out after Linux runs. The keyboard becomes completely
unresponsive when the booting gets to the screen to choose color or B&W.

The keyboard on the Supermicro P5MMA is PS/2-style, if that matters.

TIA for the responses.

P/S Sorry, Chris. :) My bad.
