re: Debian-lite
In regards to the naming problem. Might it not be easier to decide
which packages are to go into which sub-distribution. Or maybe just
come up with a sentence describing each sub-distribution. Then define
the packages. And finally name each:
1) Single-user, minimal install that may be useful, games/no games.
2) Mail-client, modem stuff, web browsing, mail, news, etc.
3) Internet-client, network stuff, web browsing, mail, news, etc.
4) News server.
5) Mail server.
6) X-based.
7) ...
Of course then other decisions need to be made. Are each of these
packages 'standalone?' Or do you need to install the smallest
functional sub-dist first? And then add to that.
