That was not really wrongly installed.
You have the menu pkg installed. When you install pkgs it updates all of your m
enus to show the new pkg. It builds a new syste.*rc file REPLACING the one alre
ady there. Backup that file before it gets lost and read the man pages on menu.
You have to modify system.steprc-menu and run updatemenus to rebuild the rc
files. Note in the -menu file that you need to make some changes to the menu se
ction so that the Debian submenu is a submenu and not the main menu.
