HPFS support in Debian (was: ``Re: New with Linux'')

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

   Gentlebeings:

   There seems to be some uncertainty about HPFS support in the
default Debian kernal.

   Yes it does---I installed the 0.93R6 release on my previously
OS/2-only machine, and ``mount -t hpfs'' works like a charm, though it
*is* read-only.

   My kernel is:

$ uname --all
Linux elmore 1.2.13 #2 Sat Nov 4 12:43:34 PST 1995 i486

			Sincerely yours,

				Max Hyre
