Not an expert on this, and I've not seen this error before. I can have a look
on my Linux box over the weekend. I would have thought allowing anyone to write
to mail would cause problems if anyone can login via network or modem, as far
as placing a lot of garbage in there. I would have thought it was some emacs
configuration problem.
