birden fazla apache prosesi

Merhaba,

Sarge 3.1 (2.6.16-2-686) apache2 ve php5 yüklü makinamda apache yi başlattığım andan itibaren birden fazla porses olarak çalışmaya başlıyor ve web sunucusuna istem geldikçe proses saysısı durmadan artıyor. Proseslerden ilkinin sahibi root ve diğerlerininki www-data. Bu durumu gidermek için ne yapabilirim.
