No sé su grado de uso, pero en el "Linux Advanced Routing & Traffic" es la 
utilidad que se emplea para todo el tema de la red.

No obstante sigue siendo más cómodo hacer un "ifconfig" que un "ip address 
show", y resulta más ordenada la salida de "route -n" que de "ip route show".
