Resolução 1368x768

Olá, companheiros:

Decidi apelar à lista após alguns meses de pesquisa e testes infrutíferos.

Adquiri há algum tempo um notebook Acer eMachine E725 no qual instalei o Debian Lenny. Este modelo de notebook tem um monitor 16:9, permitindo resolução de 1368x768. Infelizmente, não houve jeito de ativar esta resolução, mesmo mexendo no xorg.conf,

Fico limitado a 1024x768. Recentemente, instalei o kernel 2.6.26-2-686 na expectativa de que os módulos mais atuais resolvessem. Infelizmente, não foi este o caso.
