Fala Geraldo,
Tem um "jeitinho" de fazer sua interface gráfica
funcionar:
1. Arranje um CD do Kurumin (versão 3 ou 4)
2. Dê o boot com ele
3. Monte o diskete ou uma partição qualquer de seu HD
4. Copie os arquivos /etc/X11/XF86* para seu diskete
ou partição montada (ou mesmo para o /etc/X11/ da sua
partição do Sistema Operacional, no HD, mas faça um
backup dos XF86* que estiverem lá antes, ok?)
5. Reinicie a máquina com boot pelo HD
6. Em um terminal, copie os arquivos do item "4" para
/etc/X11/
7. digite startx
