ssh - problem

nie moge sie dobic na ssh (putty v 0.55). 
Putty wisi az do time out'u. 
Natomiast 'telnet ip port' mówi mi: 
(...)
Connected to 'ip'
(...)
SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.8.1p1 Debian 1:3.8.1p1-8sarge.1

a zatem zyje. 
O co w tym moze chodzic??
