Leider habe ich keine anderen USB 3.0 Geräte zur Verfügung... Eine USB2.0 HDD startete aber spontan...

Dann muß ich wohl mal die 3TB umpartitionieren.

"The NEC/Renesas µPD720200 is the most widely used and tested USB

Sollte also funktionieren... Hast Du noch ein anders USb 3.0 Gerät,
z.Bsp. einen schäbigen Stick zum Testen? Dann probier damit mal die
"tail -f /var/log/messages" Methode.
