Ich frage mich nur gerade, ob das die Fähigkeiten der Graphikkarte oder
die des Monitors sind, die da benannt werden ...

Ich habe das gesamte Log angehängt. Und ja, *Mist* ich sitze nicht vor
dem Rechner.

Okay, das klingt plausibel. Und nein, die ist per VGA angeschlossen,
nicht per DVI :-(

Im Prinzip würde mir eine Auflösung unterhalb von FullHD genügen, wenn
es den unverzerrt und ansehnlich ist.

Rechner aus Gewohnheit. Nein, ich weiß, das ist kein Argument für eine
veraltete Distribution.

Darauf mag es wohl hinauslaufen. Mal sehen, ob das Mainboard noch AGP
hat oder schon moderneres ...

ohnehin). 


Wenn ich aber an Hardwaregrenzen stoße, dann ist schon die Frage,
wieviele Groschen in die Kiste noch gesteckt werden, bevor alles neu
wird ...
