auch der reconfigure bricht einfach ab ...

Hast Du da noch nen Tip?

Bin ich ehrlich gesagt ein wenig überfragt jetzt. Hab ntop gepurged, neu
installiert, alles startet, kann deinen Fehler nicht reproduzieren.

Ist denn der Rest der Pakete, die ntop als Abhängigkeit benötigt mit
installiert worden?
Hier waren das libdbi0, libjs-mochikit, librrd4, und ntop-data
Vielleicht mal mit 'apt-get check' nachschauen ob irgendwo was fehlt.

nein, sind alle installiert.
