Der Fehler bleibt auch nach einem Wechsel auf Squeeze:

Usually this means the macro was only invoked conditionally.

Und an der Stelle bricht er dann ab. Google spuckt dazu nix aus:-(
Das kann jetzt aber nicht mehr an zu altem XServer liegen, denn
apt-cache behauptet:
xserver-xorg-core:
  Installiert: 2:1.7.6.901-3
  xserver-xorg:
  Installiert: 1:7.5+6
