Einen bestimmten Font mit root-tail verwenden

Hallo Leute.

Ich habe ein Problemchen mit root-tail, bei dem nicht mal Google helfen
konnte: die Option -font um einen bestimmten Font ausyuwòhlen funktioniert
nicht.

"root-tail --color grey /var/log/messages" geht klar.

Aber zum beispiel "root-tail --font egal-welcher /var/log/messages" gibt
mir:

shaihulud@sietchtabr:~$ root-tail --color grey --font
arial /var/log/messages
Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion (ISO8859-1)
unable to create fontset for font 'arial', exiting.

Ich habe schon versucht meine System-Locale von utf-8 zu iso8859-15
umgestellt, das hat aber nicht geholfen.

Kann jemand mir helfen?

p.s.: heisst es auf deutch "der" Font? ;o)
