Cups will nicht mehr

Hallo,

ich habe das Problem unter Etch, dass Cups nicht mehr will (nach
irgendwelche Upgrades).

Der Drucker ist an usb angeschlossen. Der Drucker wird erkannt,
Kernel-seitig funktioniert ein

# cat foo.ps >/dev/usb/lp0
# lsusb -s 004
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04f9:0022 Brother Industries, Ltd 

Cups meldet in der Admin-Page nur "Printer not connected; will retry in
30 seconds..."
Cups kennt auch prinzipiell USB-Drucker:

# lpinfo -v
network socket
network beh
network http
network ipp
network lpd
direct parallel:/dev/lp0
direct scsi
serial serial:/dev/ttyS0?baud=115200
serial serial:/dev/ttyS1?baud=115200
network smb

Also, denke ich sollte ein 

# lpadmin -p hl5150d -v usb://Brother/HL-5150D%20series

das Device entsprechend setzen:

# lpstat -v 
device for hl5150d: usb://Brother/HL-5150D%20series
device for hl5150ddbl: usb://Brother/HL-5150D%20series
device for Virtual_Printer: cups-pdf:/

Nur, es kommt nix. Irgend was stimmt mit der DeviceURI nicht.

# grep DeviceURI /etc/cups/printers.conf
DeviceURI usb://Brother/HL-5150D%20series
DeviceURI usb://Brother/HL-5150D%20series
DeviceURI cups-pdf:/
