Okay. Ich denke mal, dass der Kernel sich am SATA etwas verschluckt.

Du könntest ausprobieren an der Festplatte einen Jumper zu setzen
(falls möglich) um einen anderen (Kompatibilitäts-)Modus zu aktivieren
oder es mal mit div. Kernel-Parametern versuchen.

Ich habe leider noch keine SATA-Platte im Einsatz.
