meine Frau hat einen PSC750 den auch ich alle paar Jahre mal über
Linux zum Scannen verwende. In diesen Jahren hat sich bei der
Entwicklung der Pakete ungeheuer viel getan. Sie sind einfach
installierbar und funktionieren gut unter sarge.
Installiert sind bei mir folgende Pakete:

This project was replaced by the HPLIP (HP Linux Printing and
Imaging) project which is maintained by the HPIJS developer team
and joined with HPIJS as one integrated package, hosted on:
http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/
From HPLIP not only multi-function printers with integrated
scanner and/or memory card reader benefit, but also print-only
devices, as this infrastructure provides status and ink/toner
level monitoring and inkjet maintenance (head alignment and
cleaning, nozzle check, ...). All these functions are easily
accessible via a graphical user interface, the HP Toolbox.The
only missing part is PC-assisted faxing, but this is under
development.
