Imp4 auf Sarge

ja hallo erstmlal,..

ich schalge mich gerade mit den imp4 und horde3 Pakete auf Sarge herum.
Eigentlich will ich nur mit imp4 meine Mails lesen - aber irgendwie bekomme 
ich das login auf einem lokalen imap Server (mailutils-imap4d) nicht hin.
Horde meldet dazu:
Nov 01 17:46:00 HORDE [error] [horde] FAILED LOGIN for jan [84.63.16.30] to 
Horde [on line 95 of "/usr/share/horde3/login.php"]
der imap4d meldet dazu:

Irgendwo scheint in der config also der Wurm zu sitzen.
Die relevanten Zeilen der conf.php sagen:
$conf['auth']['params']['hostspec'] = 'localhost';
$conf['auth']['params']['port'] = 143;
$conf['auth']['params']['protocol'] = 'imap/notls';
$conf['auth']['params']['imapconfig'] = 'separate';
$conf['auth']['driver'] = 'imap';
$conf['signup']['allow'] = false;

Aber irgendwo ist hier der Wurm...
