Il faut peut-être éditer (le sauvegarder en copie avant) /etc/X11/Xorg.conf (c'est peut-être /etc/X11/xorg.conf) ou des fichiers sous /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
Peut-être aussi le "supprimer" (donc mv /etc/X11/Xorg.conf /etc/X1/_vieux_Xorg.conf ...) et relancer Xorg.
