probleme grep: command not found

je suis sur debian testing.
j'ai quelques soucis a faire fonctionner grep

# whereis grep
grep: /bin/grep /usr/share/man/man1/grep.1.gz

# /bin/grep
Usage: grep [OPTION]... PATRON [FICHIER]...
Pour en savoir davantage, faites: � grep --help �.

# cat /var/log/apache/acces.log | grep 127.0.0.1
-su:  /bin/grep: Aucun fichier ou r�pertoire de ce type



# cat /var/log/apache/acces.log | /bin/grep 127.0.0.1

-su:  /bin/grep: Aucun fichier ou r�pertoire de ce type

#echo $PATH$
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11

je n'y comprends rien ...
vous auriez un debut d'explication?
