Hallo, Eerder was er http://lists.debian.org/debian-user-dutch/2013/08/msg00029.html over een "bid" voor Debian Conferentie in Mechelen. Zo'n een "bid" is een intekening. Vergelijk het met Olympische Spelen, daar wordt van te voren ook ingetekend voor de spelen na de volgende spelen. Voor een debconf hoef je geen nieuwe stadions te bouwen. Andere voorbereidingen zijn wel nodig. Mocht daar aan willen werken, dan kan nog steeds. De volgende fase is het verder uitwerken van "the bid". Dat is tot ergens in december 2013. De intekeningen worden dan beoordeeld. Eind 2013, begin 2014 wordt er dan een beslissing genomen.
