polya:~ $ dpkg -S /etc/texmf/XDvi
polya:~ $ dpkg -S /etc/X11/Xresources/tetex-base
tetex-base: /etc/X11/Xresources/tetex-base
So the answers are:
- /etc/texmf/XDvi is obsolete and can be removed
- it's better to configure the teTeX system using texconfig than to
do things manually ;-)
