Bug#1116019: context-modules: Missing Apache 2 license for Type 1 fonts
Hi Hilmar,
No, the two font files themselves contain code that is licensed under
Apache-2. The lintian error description refers to
https://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/type1nondfsg that explains how to
verify with t1disasm that the Adobe code is contained.
`t1disasm /usr/share/texmf/fonts/type1/jmn/hans/hans-sh.pfb | grep Copyright`
renders: % Copyright (c) 1987-1990 Adobe Systems Incorporated
Just add the Copyright and Apache license to the paragraph that you have
cited. I could not find a source for "copyright=Public Domain" (for the
rest of the font) so you might even replace that with Apache-2.
An even better approach would be adding a separate paragraph only for
the two pfb files with the Copyright info combined and license set to
Apache-2. Apache-2 is in common-licenses, so you should refer to that
file instead of adding the complete license.
So long.
Bastian
