Package: src:texlive-extra
Severity: important
thanks

Severity set to important to try and halt migration to testing if possible. Feel free to adjust if required.

I'm also not sure this is actually texlive-extra; it's just what dpkg -S reported who owns the related file, and I see there was a recent update. Please do reassign if I'm offbase here.

On update, dpkg triggers caused install to fail for tex-common, and there was a message in my apt output indicating the crash was logged in
/tmp/fmtutil.XNhTCSFq

The related looking snippit from the output is:

```
Defining UNIX/DOS style filename parser.
On a hunch I installed texlive-luatex - and the package finished installing successfully.
Thanks for maintaining the tex ecosystem,
Hello Paul,
I've uploaded texlive-extra 2025.20250927-2 this morning, which introduces that dep as first measure. I still look for a better solution, but first I have to fix the builders.
