Note: Yesterday, I closed around 180 bugs reported by Matthias because
I could verify that the packages may be built today in unstable. This
one was one of them. As far as the package builds ok, there is no
FTBFS bug.

I'm not sure what you mean here.

Using -std=gnu17 is a different thing than adding an explicit
build-depends on gcc-15. gcc-15 may become a legacy GCC version at
some point and we might want to get rid of it at some point, but I
would expect -std=gnu17 to work for a long time.
