Happy to give additional information, but I don't have much for now:

I create many documents in Emacs Org-Mode. Some of these I export to
PDF. I use the Pandoc exporter that is part of Emacs and org-mode. This
let's me select "Context" to create a PDF.

The log tells me what I reported:

" Running pandoc with args: (-f org -t context -o /path/somedocument.pdf --standalone /path/somedocument.tmp44bTvt.org)

I can run the same command in a non Emacs terminal:

"pandoc -f org -t context -o /path/ ...."  -> Same error.

I tried downgrading to luametatex_2.11.01+ds-2_amd64.deb but....

Error occured.
Error producing PDF.
lua error : function call: /usr/bin/mtxrun.lua:2438: attempt to assign to const variable 'i'
