They are no longer in the ConTeXt distribution. The only mkii files
in it are in add-on modules. So it seems that
keeping them would mean adopting them, as was done with mptopdf.
The files are not in the "minimal distribution" (which includes binaries, fonts etc.), but they are still present in the context zip itself.
