Hello,

while configuring texlive-binaries, the following warning appeared:

update-alternatives: warning: forcing reinstallation of alternative
/usr/bin/bibtex.original because link group bibtex is broken
update-alternatives: warning: not replacing
/usr/share/man/man1/bibtex.1.gz with a link

The warning is reproducible on subsequent reinstallations.

Hello,

after upgrading I tried to reinstall texlive-binaries a first time and
the error was there. Tried a second time and it was gone. Probably on
the first attempt the update-alternatives database was still broken and
needed a repair. Log follows. A third run didn't show the error either.
I can't see an error message there. Just the information that "update-alternatives" now re-installs the soft link /usr/share/man/man1/bibtex.1.gz, which works this time. Upon next run the link is there, hence no warning any more.
