Bug#951365: autopkgtest: blocks TL due to warnings of unknown specials
Package: pyxplot
Version: 0.9.2-10
Severity: important
Dear all,
pyxplot defines autopkgtest and currently blocks new TeX Live packages,
the sole reason being that pyxplot is unable to interpret new dvi
specials:
file 'examples/ex_linestyles.ppl':103: Warning: ignoring unhandled DVI special string header=l3backend-dvips.pro
This is a new special introduced with recent LaTeX, see
https://tug.org/pipermail/tex-live/2020-February/044737.html
and the whole thread.
The whole point of this bug report is that the warning shipped out is
innocent, but blocks TeX Live packages, and thus are to be honest a
PITA.
Please either disable these broken autopkgtests, or fix the package to
not emit warnings on these specials.
Thanks
Norbert
