Hi Laurent,
thanks for the report and explanation!
Just to make sure what we have to do now:
1. replace the line "Icon=info" in /usr/share/applications/info.desktop
by "Icon=dialog-information"
2. Drop recommends against gnome-icon-theme and simply assume that an
incarnation of icon "dialog-information" is part of every desktop
installation.
Please confirm!
Thanks,
Hilmar
I see that the info package Recommends gnome-icon-theme, I don't think
it's a good idea.
gnome-icon-theme is not maintained anymore. Also I don't think it's up
to a leaf application to define the icon theme that should be installed.
The best solution is to use a xdg icon name and expect that the user
will have an icon theme installed.
If you want a "light bulb" icon, you should probably use the name
"dialog-information" icon which is part of the xdg standard (see
https://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-naming-spec/icon-naming-spec-latest.html)
I see this icon being part of most of the icon theme.
