Unfortunately updating biblatex is not trivial and needs to go hand in
hand with updates to biber.
The current version of TeX Live in Debian/unstable and testing contains
already the fix, but I refrain from backporting and leave it to others.
Closing this bug, since it is fixed in Debian/unstable
