But /usr/share/doc/texlive* ships more than 80MB though I don't have
any doc-packages (besides texlive-doc-base which is a dependency of
texlive-base) on my system :

Any chance that you can provide all the big files (especially the
PDF files) in a separate, optional doc-package?
