Package: pdfjam
Version: 1.10-1
Severity: wishlist

This is a wishlist item. I noticed that the virtual pages in a pdfnup output
extend to the very edge of the physical page with no margin. This is a
problem when printing slides (such as created by beamer) that don't naturally
have a margin around them. There is the --delta option, but this creates too
much space between slides if it is used to create a margin around the edge of
the paper. Not having a margin is a problem because it's hard to print these
slides as a handout if the edges of the printing get cut off.

One way I've found to get around this is to create my multi-page output in
pdfnup, then run the resulting file through pdfnup again, this time specifying
--nup 1x1 and using the --delta option this time to create only space around
the edge of the page. It would be nice if a new option could be added to the
script and this process could be automated. Unfortunately, my scripting isn't
quite good enough to do a good job of this.

Again, thanks for making these packages available. I just discovered beamer
and pdfnup, and they're making my life happier.

10+ years old bug, and pdfnup works as expected, there are enough options
to shrink or change the margin.

Closing this bug.
