Re: Debian error

Am 28.03.2017 um 11:36 tastete Nilsfortheinternet:

Hi,

thanks for the fast reply, I run testing:

lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 9.0 (stretch)
Release: 9.0
Codename: stretch

In my TeX log it says:
LaTeX2e <2016/03/31> patch level 3

I thought of upgrading this package to unstable but stopped as it
says here [1] that even the sid packages have the same version number, which
I have installed according to synaptic. synaptic also says that there is
no newer release. I also purged and reinstalled texlive-full, but didn't
help. Should I upgrade the LaTeX packages to unstable then? Or have I
just configured something wrongly?

texlive-full does not really define a strict dep on a recent LaTeX kernel. Please send me output of:

- find /var/lib/texmf/web2c/ -name \*fmt|xargs ls -l
- grep -A 4 "From File: ltvers.dtx" /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/base/latex.ltx

...and keep debian-tex-maint@lists.debian.org in Cc.

Hilmar
