Bug#712358: Help with RC latex bug in tetex-brev?

Hi.  Is there a latex expert in the building?  The reason I ask is the
package tetex-brev which I maintain, which provide norwegian letter
formatting.  It is very useful, but recent changes to Latex have
broken it, and I am unable to figure out how to fix it.

The upstream author is no longer using Latex and has so far been
unable to help me.  And I do not know enough about Latex to fix it
myself.  Can one of you help me?
