Bug#535554: texlive-bibtex-extra: bibtopic.sty should not use hardcoded filenames btaux.aux and btbbl.aux
The bug is closed. This is just an informative note for users
who notice the same problem:

Thanks a lot for your input!
I guess I could name them
bt1-\jobname.aux and bt2-\jobname.aut
instead of btaux.aux and btbbl.aux.
The downside would be that there would be even more temporary files
around - as far as I know, there is no way to delete files from within
LaTeX (except for ugly \immediate\write18 workarounds which would need
to be explicitly enabled by the user ...)
