tlmgr does *not* deprecate updmap. Actually tlmgr calls updmap.
tlmgr is a completely different thing. (Again one of those, please
read the man page!)

And this Debian Developer by chance is also the author of tlmgr, and
of the new updmap. So yes, upstream is better.

Because it is generated from help2man, and that seems to be unable
to translate this properly.
We will check what we can do.
