BTW, looking at the thailatex package I see:

plus emacs support.

The tex files are all in the thailatex package in TeX Live,
so I only need a new upstream .orig.tar since currently we
do not ship the thailatex files in the  .orig.

What about the emacs mode ... I am not extremely happy in
carying that with me, unless you *strongly* push me ...
but I don't know how to.
