Package: tetex-bin
Version: 1.0.7+20000807-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

 (nearly) all (La)TeX programs that I tested work quite well with
 sources that have DOS style line endings.

 The one exception I encountered so far is makeindex. Somehow it
 gets confused, if the Index Style file (.ist) which is used as in
  makeindex -s $(Project).ist $(Project)
 has DOS CR/LF line endings.

 Fix is probably simple... ;-)

  Greetings,
   Ulf

I don't know exactely when it was fixed, but now makeindex can definitely
work with dos line endings:
	$ cp `kpsewhich gind.ist` .
	$ unix2dos gind.ist
	$ latex ....
	$ makeindex -s ./gind.ist texput
	This is makeindex, version 2.15 [TeX Live 2012] (kpathsea + Thai support).
	Scanning style file ./gind.ist.............done (13 attributes redefined, 3 ignored).
	Scanning input file texput.idx....done (2 entries accepted, 0 rejected).
	Sorting entries....done (2 comparisons).
	Generating output file texput.ind....done (13 lines written, 0 warnings).
	Output written in texput.ind.
	Transcript written in texput.ilg.
