  A corrected (I hope) patch is attached.

N.B. (for the future)
  If a file contains formatting commands (except when the text is
in "no-fill" mode), it is simpler to start each sentence at the
beginning of a line.

  It also makes it simpler to transform such files from one format
to another, as the conventions about the number of spaces between
sentences can vary.
