If you take "scripts" in a somewhat broader context, the add-on
mechanism of most browser qualifies.

There are two possibilites:
1) Move the script into its own package in contrib.
2) Remove it entirely.

Looking at the age of the bug, it's pretty clear nobody is going to do
either. And it is just a small part of a package, so the benefits simple
outweigh the extra work.

The "right" way to go from here is trying to get the fonts free.
Everything else is just beating around the bush.
