TeXdoc automatically finds all documentation installed in the texmf
trees (and, since in Debian documentation should be in /usr/share/doc,
we work with symlinks). "Entries" are only needed for synonyms
(e.g. "texdoc hyperref" now opens the file ../hyperref/manual.pdf, not
some strange readme as earlier.
Or do you mean texdoctk?
