is libkpatsea memory leak free ?

Hello List:

While I was packaging bibtool, I checked bibtool against valgrind.
It appeared that a lot of memory leak comes from kpathsea:
is libkpathsea really subjet to numerous memory leaks ?
If yes, is there any plan to fix them ?
If not, I guess I have to double check its usage inside bibtool.
