Why? Why do you need Debian "texlive"? THe whole point of the equivs
package is to *not* need any of these.

If you are installing "texlive" Debian package, then there is no need
for the equivs, you should then install all of texlive/Debian, and in
parallel vanilla. This works nicely and this is what I am doing.
Only about disk space. When you are low on disk space you can use
the equivs approach ...
