spie.cls texlive-publishers (2009-10)

Dear maintainers,

please be carefull if you plan to update spie.cls from 3.25 to 3.30 in the next release of texlive-publishers.

I used spie.cls 3.30 (instead the 3.25 from debian testing)
from http://kmh-lanl.hansonhub.com/spie/ because SPIE had changed their style for references but the resulting postscript file (A4 format) does not match the margins which are requested from http://spie.org/x14101.xml:

...
If you use an A4 page, set margins to 1.925 cm left and right, 2.54 cm top, and 4.94 cm bottom.
...

As you can see in the history of spie.cls 3.25:
% 3.20 Modified by Ken Hanson <kmh@lanl.gov> April 17, 2007
% Small format revisions to match SPIE specifications
% 3.25 Modified by Ken Hanson <kmh@lanl.gov> April 24, 2007
% Removed comments in A4 margin statements

the commented lines which forces the margins were uncommented in 3.25 but in the new spie.cls 3.30:

% 3.20 Modified by Ken Hanson <kmh@lanl.gov> April 17, 2007

% Small format revisions to match SPIE specifications

% 3.30 Modified by Ken Hanson <kmh@lanl.gov> January 19, 2008

% Place reference numbers in square brackets to match new SPIE specs

Version 3.25 is not even mentioned.

Therefore I used spie.cls 3.30 and spiebib.bst 3.33 from http://kmh-lanl.hansonhub.com/spie/
and unkommented the lines 78+79 from spie.cls
78: \oddsidemargin -0.61cm % for side margins of 1.93 cm

79: \evensidemargin -0.61cm % for side margins of 1.93 cm

Best regards,
Andreas Weber
