Biber package as a modern BibTeX replacement

Hi list

I intend to package "Biber", a BibTeX replacement for users of
biblatex, with full Unicode support (see ITP #570018).
The package depends on some a handful (five, to be precise) extra Perl
packages that are not yet in Debian.
The Debian work for these Perl packages need a place to reside.

Can I use the Debian TL SVN repository to create the Debian packages
for these Perl packages and Biber?
Or do you prefer the Perl packages to use the Debian Perl SVN repository?
