OK, fine.

Norbert, what do you think? One the one hand, the change should not
hurt, as the API of zlib didn't change. On the other hand zlib is not
updated that often, we/you can simply upload a new luatex into
unstable after the new zlib is in unstable.

Did it work with an older luatex version? Please make sure it is
valid LaTeX code you're using for testing.
