Bug#560896: texlive upgrade prevented by removal of texlive-base-bin (68 dependendent packages)

aptitude can't handle the upgrade for me.
Going carefully through the aptitude dependency checks I follow the
required upgrades in order, starting from texlive:
texlive->texlive-fonts-recommended->tex-common
->texlive-common->texlive-base->"Install luatex [0.50.0-1 (unstable)]"
->remove texlive-base-bin->install texlive-binaries.
Not obvious to me why aptitude infers that texlive-base needs luatex,
but there it is.
I think the problem here is external dependencies on texlive-base-bin,
preventing it from being removed and therefore holding up the whole
upgrade.
Packages depending on texlive-base-bin:
...
catdvi
dvipdfmx
musixtex
tex4ht
tipa
...
etc etc etc etc
Total 68 packages depend on texlive-base-bin, and yet you've removed it
from texlive!
Seems a bit of an unfriendly removal...

[I guess tex-common and texlive-common are ok, should you clone this bug
into a separate one to deal with texlive-base-bin?]
